"Mola Mola defined their style as a combination of their passion for electronic music with their own Puerto Rican and Latino culture..."
Mola Mola are two Puerto Rican brothers and music production duo, currently based in California. Since their childhood, the two brothers Julian and Orlando Rodriguez dedicated their time to electronic music production, spanning many subgenres.
In 2018, they joined forces as Mola Mola, and operated in Atlanta, GA until mid 2020. During their time in ATL, they defined their style as a combination of their passion for electronic music with their own Puerto Rican and Latino culture.
The duo released music independently throughout 2018. Starting out their second year together in 2019 their discography at the time caught the eye of Steve Void and his record label, Strange Fruits, where the duo released their most popular single, "Quiero Sentir", reaching over half a million streams on Spotify. In 2020 they released their debut EP "777" with their Ecuadorian friend and singer/songwriter Charly Salas, which received incredible support, surpassing 150,000 streams on Spotify alone. Several of the songs were supported by Spotify's editorial playlists, including New Music Friday Latin, LatinX Indie Rising, Latin Pop Rising, Fresh Finds, and others.
In 2021, Mola Mola seek to evolve their sound by exploring different genres and styles through new and exciting collaborations.
